So as everyone knows Jill Scott has release her fourth studio album "The Light of the Sun". This will be my very first album review and I think this album is the best one to start with. This is Jill's first album in 4 years as she took a break to release three movies and gave birth her first child Hamilton Roberts in 2009. As Jill previous releases this one fits right into the flow of her other albums. It features Eve, Anthony Hamilton, Paul Wall and Doug E. Fresh. I love the way the album can be listened to from 1-15 as every track makes you laugh, cry, and dance or two-step to the groove. Of course the first single off the album is "So In Love" featuring Anthony Hamilton and so far is number 10 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts I personally don't think it should have been her first single as I think "Blessed" or "Shame" featuring Eve would have done Jill more top doing if they were selected. Though "So In Love" is a great single I think it should have been released second or third. But just maybe "Shame" or "Blessed" will be released next in the coming weeks. But my favorite song off the album would have to be "So Gone (What My Mind Says)" featuring Paul Wall. This song shows Jill getting nasty and dirty with Paul Wall and is definitely for the more grown and sexy folks. Sex sells and Jill definitely is trying to sale sex with this one. I'm hoping this album debuts at number 1 next week and I truly think its worth it as Jill Scott should finally receive her first HOT 100 number 1 album. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars...Next week will will be reviewing the much anticipated 4th studio album from the one and only BEYONCE "4".
